COVENTRY, Conn. (AP) – A 26-year-old woman has been charged with attempted murder and assault after police said she spiked her husband’s food and drink with antifreeze and an insect killer.
Jennifer Ratti of Coventry was held on $250,000 bond after being arrested Saturday. She is scheduled to be arraigned Monday in Vernon Superior Court. Police said her husband, Joshua Ratti, was being treated at a hospital they declined to name.
Jennifer Ratti is accused of putting roach and ant killer in her husband’s food and antifreeze in two drinks. Police said he consumed some of the food and drink.
