LONDONDERRY, N.H. (AP) – Several hundred gallons of hot oil and water sprayed across a plant floor and a boom shook the building when a pipe burst at a business near the Manchester-Boston Regional Airport.

No one was injured in Thursday’s accident at Kluber Lubrication. Firefighters said two workers were nearby, but fortunately they were not hit by a spray of water and hydrocarbon oil heated to 500 degrees.

Firefighters and the southeastern New Hampshire haz-mat team quickly contained the spill, using booms and absorbent pads and granules, and no oil left the building, firefighters said.

Kluber makes industrial lubricants and had been manufacturing grease when the pipe burst.
