ROCHESTER, N.H. (AP) – A man accused of assaulting a police officer will be in court today.
Police were called to a home Friday night for a report of shots fired. They said they found Kirk Johnson, 52, on the porch outside firing several rounds from a rifle. During his arrest, Johnson allegedly hit one of the officers.
Johnson faces several charges, including reckless conduct, assault of a police officer and criminal threatening. He was taken to the Strafford County jail, where he was ordered held on $20,000 bail.
