AUGUSTA – Elaine L. Chao, U.S. secretary of labor, will address the Maine Chapter of the National Association of Women in Construction at the group’s annual construction trade show at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 12, in the Cumberland Room at the Augusta Civic Center.
Chao will discuss worker training issues, worker rights, and women in the work force issues.
Show hours are noon to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 11, and 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on Thursday, April 12. This year’s show has more than 170 exhibitors, filling the Civic Center auditorium as well as two acres of the parking lot. Seminars will be held on both days of the show.
