BERLIN, N.H. (AP) – A Nashua man faces another three years in prison after he was caught smuggling tobacco into jail.
Christopher Beaudoin, a 26-year-old prison inmate, was on work release to Gorham Town Hall when he stole tobacco from a construction worker and took it back to jail with him.
Staff at the Northern New Hampshire Correctional Facility caught him and charged him with a felony.
Beaudoin was a week shy of being eligible for parole when he was caught in September.
He was serving two to five years for robbery and was sentenced to another one to three years for smuggling the tobacco.
