WASHINGTON, N.H. (AP) – A woman who was reported missing after she didn’t return home from work was found dead in the woods and officials are awaiting the results of an autopsy, state police said Monday.
Henniker Police received the missing person report on Saturday on Linda Feeley, 43, of Washington. She had left work at 1 a.m. that day from the County Spirit Restaurant in Henniker and hadn’t returned home, police said.
On Sunday, a New Hampshire State Police helicopter was used to search the area and Feeley’s car was found in Washington.
The state police K-9 unit was brought to the scene. Feeley’s body was found lying face-down in the woods about 4:29 p.m. in Washington.
The autopsy was conducted Monday. The cause and manner of death are awaiting toxicology reports.
