CONCORD, N.H. (AP) – A Concord man is finding his phone ringing a lot, but most people on the other end aren’t asking for him. They want to talk to Brad Pitt.

Richard Perkins’ phone number was published on a celebrity Web site as a way to reach the one-time “Sexiest Man Alive.” Instead, they’re getting a sometimes confused retired teacher who has seen only one Pitt film.

“I thought it was my daughter calling me,” said Perkins, the 77-year-old father of three grown children. “I thought she was saying ‘Dad? Dad? Dad”‘

He eventually realized they were asking for Brad.

The calls have been coming at random hours, including the middle of the night. To offset this, Perkins said he left his phone of the hook so he could get some sleep. But his Life Alert system took the dead dial-tone to be a call for help. Firefighters burst into his house only to find him sitting in his living room.

Perkins has no idea why someone put his number on the site. “Maybe it was a random thing,” he said.
