FRANKLIN, N.H. (AP) – Franklin has became the third New Hampshire community to ban registered sex offenders from living near schools, day care centers, parks or playgrounds.

The City Council approved the restrictions on Monday, setting a 2,5090-foot restricted zone around those sites.

Dover has had a similar ban since 2005 and Tilton passed one Town Meeting this year.
