LEWISTON – Round Point Movies, a video production group created by Lewiston-based media makers Craig Saddlemire and Ryan Conrad, has been awarded a grant to continue its work producing high quality videos for local artists, nonprofits and other socially responsible cause-oriented clients. This grant, from the Libra Foundation’s Libra Future Fund, is awarded to young professionals in Maine who contribute to the local economy through their entrepreneurial efforts.
The money received from the LFF grant will be used to improve and update RPM’s editing technology, allowing the videomakers to manage more projects simultaneously.
Recent RPM video projects this grant will directly support include documenting Museum LA’s millworkers reunion, the Maine Mountain Conference, a promotional video for the Lewiston-based organization Lots To Gardens, and feature-length video work for nationally recognized Maine artist William Pope.L.
RPM is a small, independent production company committed to art, activism and social change and is particularly interested in working with nonprofit and grassroots groups that could use video to promote their message.
