PORTLAND – The Mike Willette Swing Band will give a concert at 8 p.m. Friday, May 25, at The Immanuel Baptist Church.

Fronted by veteran crooner Willette and lead by lead trumpet player/musical director Mike Plossay, the 12-piece band will play a big band/swing music from the World War II era to contemporary pieces by artists such as Brian Setzer and Tom Kubis.

The band is made up of Maine jazz musicians and features female vocalist Allyn Gamble, a former Miss Maine and professional Las Vegas entertainer.

The concert is open to the public. The church is at 156 High St., across from the Eastland Hotel.
