BRUNSWICK – Over the course of his 55-year-career, Maine jazz clarinetist/whistler Brad Terry has played with performers from Dizzy Gillespie to Steve Swallow. Saturday, June 9, he will celebrate his 70th birthday with a concert performance at Maine Sound Stage.

Joining Terry will be New York City pianist Fred Fischer, the same pianist who accompanied Terry at his first paid performance in New Canaan, Conn., when they were 15 and 13.

Opening will be a trio of Terry’s young student friends.

The 7:30 p.m. concert will be recorded live, and the audience will be asked to help choose tunes from Terry’s plentiful repertoire.

Light refreshments and birthday cake will be served.

Maine Sound Stage is at the rear of Fort Andross at 14 Maine St.

Admission, at the door only, is $14, $10 for students and seniors.
