LEWISTON -“Beyond The Palette,” an exhibit showcasing 31 Maine artists and their juried works, will hang at L/A Arts Gallery 5 in Lyceum Hall from June 8 through July 14.
The exhibit is a mixture of dramatic fine arts and offerings both whimsical and out of the ordinary. Included are paintings, multimedia sculpture, playful mixed media, digital creations, and photography.
During the showing, Gallery 5 will host three Artist Talks, one-hour presentations during which two or three artists discuss their featured works and creative process. The talks will be from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, June 14; from 4 to 5 p.m. Saturday, June 23; and from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.Thursday, June 28. Advanced reservations are required through L/A Arts, 782-7228, with a $5 donation.
L/A Arts Gallery 5 features and promotes juried works of art in all media. Lyceum Hall is at 49 Lisbon St. Gallery hours are 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday, 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and by appointment (contact curator Tammie Grieshaber at gallery5@laarts.org, or 576-4805).
