CONCORD, N.H. (AP) – There was a happy ending Friday morning to the search for a missing man in the Merrimack River. It turns out the man spent the night with a friend after falling asleep in a raft and coming ashore Thursday night.
Fish and Game said David Richardson, 20, of Goffstown had been rafting with his brother, Ryan, on Thursday, when both fell asleep in separate rafts. They separated and awoke at different spots on the river. Both searched for each other for a while, then David went to a friend’s house and Ryan called for help.
, authorities said.
Searchers found David’s raft in Concord, but there was no sign of him, until Friday morning.
