DERRY, N.H. (AP) – A woman who was called to Pinkerton Academy when her son got in trouble ended up under arrest herself.
Shirley Savory, 43, faces simple assault, resisting arrest and marijuana possession charges after the incident Tuesday morning.
Pinkerton officials asked Savory to come in after her son threw a chair across the room of the school administrator’s office. When a police officer tried to calm him down, Savory allegedly got in the middle and assaulted the officer.
The marijuana was discovered after she was arrested. Savory said the situation got blown out of proportion and that she will plead not guilty to the charges.
