ROCKLAND – Artist Jamie Wyeth will be on hand at the Wyeth Center of the Farnsworth Art Museum for a book signing from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 23. People are encouraged to bring prints or books. Wyeth will sign two per person.

“The book signing is being held in conjunction with the exhibition “Factory Work – Warhol, Wyeth, Basquiat,” showing at the center through Sunday, Aug. 26. Jamie Wyeth (born 1946) and Jean-Michel Basquiat (1960-1988) were young, independent artists with their own substantial reputations when Andy Warhol invited them to paint in his “Factory” in New York City – Wyeth in the 1970s, Basquiat in the 1980s.

“Factory Work” includes paintings, drawings, photographs, interviews, and related ephemera. An extensive, full-color catalogue, published by the Farnsworth Art Museum, accompanies the exhibition.

The event is free of charge. The Farnsworth Art Museum is at 16 Museum St. For more information, log on to www.farnsworthmuseum.org, or call 596-6457.
