HARRISON – Veteran musician, songwriter and composer Heather Pierson will perform at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, June 30, at Deertrees Theater as part of the Naples Public Library’s Centennial Celebration.
Pierson has produced and released four CDs on her own record label, Vessel Recordings, which now has international distribution. he has performed across the United States and has shared the stage with folk legend Jonathan Edwards and with rock star Meatloaf.
Her talents on the piano, keyboard, percussion, and acoustic guitar have earned praise from renowned music critic Carl McColman of New Age Voice Magazine who wrote, “Pierson has a lovely and self-assured voice, [her] lyrics are positive, all imbued with a love for rhythm, community and nature.”
Pierson’s live performances cover a range of styles, from blues to jazz, folk to world beat and New Age.
Pierson is children’s librarian at the Naples library. “Her musical talent and love of working with kids blend together to create a special energy in the children’s library,” said Library Director Meteena Edwards.
