WESTFIELD, Mass. (AP) – Westfield police have recovered items worth more than $100,000 they believe were stolen from town halls, churches and homes in Massachusetts, Connecticut and New Hampshire.

Lieutenant Michael McCabe says a tip led them to the home of David Heck of Westfield.

The 32-year-old and Justin Douglas of Springfield were charged Friday with break-ins at two New Hampshire town halls.

Those buildings were among several broken into over the past few weeks.

Cash, checks and computers are among items that have been stolen.

In Massachusetts, burglaries were reported in Leicester, Spencer, Brookfield, Conway, Leverett, Sturbridge and Wales.

Both men remain in custody in New Hampshire.
