ASHFORD, Conn. (AP) – Connecticut Lottery officials say a Powerball ticket worth $15 million was purchased at an Ashford convenience store.
The winner hasn’t yet claimed his or her jackpot. Odds of winning were one in 146.1 million.
Lottery officials say the ticket was sold at Squaw Hollow Xtra Mart on Nott Highway in Ashford, a town of about 4,000 people in northeastern Connecticut.
The winner has until Oct. 3 of next year to claim the jackpot.
That person can take either the 30-installment annuity worth $15 million, or a lump sum of a little more than $7 million. After taxes, it’d be just under $5 million.
The winning numbers were two, four, 14, 15 and 28. The Powerball was 23.
The last winning jackpot ticket sold in Connecticut was in June of 2005, when a Seymour electronics salesman won nearly 60 million dollars.
