LINCOLN, R.I. (AP) – A Lincoln woman missing for more than two months has been found after a shop owner in Baltimore realized who she was.
Katie Corcoran disappeared Sept. 5 after she left a psychiatric hospital in Providence. The 35-year-old mother of two was seen later in Newport, but her family and friends were unable to find her and were worried about her well-being. They offered a $50,000 reward for information leading to her return.
Lincoln Deputy Police Chief Brian Sullivan says Corcoran was staying in an area of Baltimore with a large homeless population when a shop owner got to know her and sensed she was out of place.
She looked Corcoran up online and discovered she was missing, then called police.
There’s no word yet on whether the reward will be paid.
