NASHUA, N.H. (AP) – In Nashua, city officials are considering banning sex offenders from living close to schools, day cares and parks.
A group of Nashua aldermen are scheduled to debate the proposal – which would bar registed sex offenders from moving within 1,000 of those areas – at a meeting Thursday evening.
The ordinance would not affect sex offenders already living in the vicinity of schools, day cares and parks, only newcomers.
A decision on the proposal is not expected Thursday evening; it would have to go before the full board of aldermen for a vote.
