BROCKTON, Mass. (AP) – Three Brockton residents are being treated for potentially life-threatening injuries after a fire ripped through a home on Moraine Street.
Brockton Fire Department Captain Robert McGinn says the victims mainly suffered from smoke inhalation. They were rushed to nearby hospitals for treatment and evaluation.
Three police officers were slightly injured.
One of the injured residents was in the bedroom where the fire started.
Two others were in the same first floor of the two-story building when the flames broke out.
McGinn says there was no immediate word on the cause of the fire.
