TAUNTON, Mass. (AP) – A New Bedford man has been charged in the hit-and-run death of a 13-year-old boy in Taunton.
Bristol District Attorney Sam Sutter says 31-year-old Craig Bigos turned himself into police Thursday afternoon.
Sutter says the boy was walking with a friend along the side of Poole Street shortly after midnight when he was struck by a 1995 Ford Explorer. The victim – a Taunton resident whose name has not been released – was pronounced dead at Morton Hospital.
Bigos will be arraigned today on charges of motor vehicle homicide, leaving the scene of an accident, operating to endanger and driving without a license.
