PORTLAND – The Maine Junior Black Bear U16 travel baseball program, based out of Frozen Ropes, is in need of additional players to fill out the roster. The season runs from early June to the end of July and does not interfere with high school season.
There are 36 games scheduled with an additional 22 practices. Fifteen of these sessions will include Calvin Hunter from Explosion Sports working with the players on speed, agility and flexibility drills. FMI, contact Larry Gordon at 576-7256.
Mt. Blue High School tennis marathon
FARMINGTON – The Mt. Blue High School boys’ and girls’ tennis teams will hold their annual 24-hour tennis marathon at the Hippach Courts from 11 a.m. Saturday, May 24 to 11 a.m. Sunday, May 25. Come support the team members by watching the action or challenging players to a match. Donations support the purchase of uniforms and supplies.
