AUBURN – East Auburn scored a pair of victories in recent Auburn Suburban Little League Major Baseball action, sweeping Auburn Firefighters, 6-2 and 12-5.
Kaileb Tremaine, Luke Sterling and Llewellyn Jensen combined for a three-hitter in the first victory. Corey Henderson ripped two hits, including a home run. Patrick Buzza also belted out a key hit.
Brooks Layman and Tate Howes toed the mound for AFF.
Layman lashed out two hits. Matthew Taylor contributed a double.
Henderson again had a homer and multiple hits in the second showdown. He collaborated with Seth Sterling, Joe Cooper and Matt Verrill for the pitching victory.
Jensen jolted three hits and Luke Sterling two for East Auburn. Austin Culleton delivered another timely hit. Jack Bayley provided tidy defense at first base.
Tyler Couture, Cam Cormier and Nick Mitri pitched for Firefighters.
