LEWISTON – The ASA Men’s Slow Pitch District 9 softball tournament will be held today and Saturday at Randall Road Fields.

Eleven teams from Lewiston and Auburn are entered in the double-elimination tournament. Each must finish with a record of 2-2 or better to qualify for the Class D state championships July 18-20 in Waterville.

Auburn Players

AUBURN – Greg Rose hit a home run to propel Meineke past M&M Getty Mart in recent Auburn Players League softball action. Mike O’Connor, Gary Chapman and Scott Lovejoy were repeat hitters for Meineke.

Team Fenway broke into the win column against Mainland. Toby Tiner and Ben Lachance were repeat hitters, with Justin Pelletier picking up the win on the mound.
