LEWISTON – FLY Football (Football League for Youth) will be conducting new player tryouts and late registration for cheerleaders and players on Saturday at Montello School athletic field.
All youth ages 6 to 13 (as long as 14th birthday falls after Oct. 31) are welcome to participate. Those interested in registering will need to be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian and bring a valid birth certificate for proof of age.
Cost for one child is $75. Each additional child is $25 with a maximum of $115 per family.
Participants ages 6 and 7 will participate in a flag-based, instructional program. Ages 8-10 will compete in the Junior division, with ages 11-13 in the Senior division.
“Late” registration will take place from 7:30 to 10 a.m. Junior Division tryouts will take place from 8 to 9 a.m. Senior Division tryouts will take place from 9 to 10 a.m.
The league will play its games at Lewiston Athletic Park on Sundays from August 31 through the league all-star games on Oct. 26. FMI and a complete schedule, go to www.lewistonfly.org.
