MONMOUTH – Monmouth Football Club will hold a youth football camp next week, August 11-15, at Monmouth Fairgrounds.

Kindergarten through fourth grade will meet from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m., with grades five to eight scheduled for 7 to 8:15 p.m.

Camp director is Monmouth Academy head football coach Norm Thombs.

All sessions will begin with a 15-minute warmup before each grade group is split up for level-specific skills and drills.

Please drop off and pick up your children on time.

All participants should arrive at least 10 minutes before their scheduled start time.

The goal of the Monmouth Youth Football Camp is to expose players to proper fundamentals, skills and techniques, to give them a sound understanding of the game, and to expand on any knowledge they bring to camp.

The staff is made up of coaches at all levels of play with volunteer help from selected high school players. All are committed to instilling the proper attitude and discipline necessary for success.

The only equipment participants need is comfortable clothing, sneakers or cleats, and a filled water bottle.

This is not a contact camp.

For more information about this program, please call Doug Beck at 933-5241 or Norm Thombs at 933-3280.
