AUBURN – A brief on B2 of Monday’s city edition indicated that sprinklers at Auburn Fiber Co. were activated by smoke on Saturday night. According to Auburn Fire Prevention Officer Gary Simard, the sprinkler system was not activated. Sprinkler systems cannot be activated by smoke; only by extreme heat.
