PORTLAND – The Affiliate Artists of Portland Stage Company will present the first of this season’s Longfellow’s Shorts events at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 29, on the mainstage at Portland Stage. Affiliate Artists and author Tom Perrotta will present readings from his latest best-selling release, “The Abstinence Teacher,” and will revisit his critically acclaimed novel “Election.”

A discussion with Perrotta will follow the actors’ readings.
