Three holes-in-one highlighted recent action at local golf courses.
During Tuesday’s Lewiston Maineiacs Tournament at Turner Highlands, Roger Philippon aced the 125-yard 15th hole. Philippon used a 9-iron while Paul Beland, Roland Violette and Gary Adams looked on.
David Gregoire recorded his first hole-in-one Friday, Sept. 19 at Apple Valley in Lewiston. Gregoire used a pitching wedge on the 108-yard No. 5. His son, Alex, witnessed the shot.
Phyllis Vail achieved her ace at Martindale in Auburn, wielding a driver on the 156-yard ninth hole. Rick Vail observed the feat.
