Portland Stage Company is presenting Shakespeare’s “Julius Caesar,” a timeless investigation of ambition, public opinion, violence and the intoxicating lure of power. PSC’s production is a reinterpretation in the harsh light of today’s politics. Soothsayers dispense predictions over cable news, the tidings of war arrive by text message, and cries of revolt rock the Capitol. The play runs through Oct. 19 at Portland Performing Arts Center, 25A Forest Ave., Portland. Tickets range from $26 to $36 for adults.
