Sandy Gregor’s column on page B1 of Tuesday’s Sun Journal should have included the following information. According to the EPA, if vacuuming is needed after a CFL bulb breaks on a carpet, be sure to remove the vacuum bag, empty and wipe the canister and put the vacuum debris in a sealed plastic bag. Also, ventilate the room before and after vacuuming. It is also recommended to remove the piece of carpeting that was contaminated.
