KENTS HILL – Maranacook Youth Hockey Squirts picked up a pair of one-sided wins over the weekend, routing Central Maine Youth Hockey, 11-5, in Waterville before returning home to clobber Kennebec Youth Hockey, 12-2.

Mat Welch and Zack Godbout each notched a hat trick against Central Maine. Joey Baumann added a pair of goals.

Welch and Baumann each chalked up an assist. Patrick Miller chipped in a goal and an assist, and Brandan Coulombe provided a goal for Maranacook (19-4).

Scott Cunningham scored twice for Central, with Samuel Haver, Matthew Jolicoeur and Nathan Pinette adding one goal apiece. Jacob Bernatchez furnished an assist. Jack Vickerson was Maranacook’s winning goaltender.

Coulombe and Miller each erupted for four goals against Kennebec, with Coulombe contributing an assist. Godbout racked up two goals and two assists, while Welch and Colin Liscord each had a goal. Vickerson, Hunter Tims, Bailey Stockford and Nick Cerullo picked up assists.

Theo Mehalami and Reed Hopkins connected for Kennebec. Jason St. Pierre was strong between the pipes for Maranacook.
