AUBURN – Patrick Dempsey led the 1-2-3 punch for Run ‘N’ Gun with 24 points in a 70-61 victory over Pike Industries in an Auburn Parks and Recreation men’s slowdown basketball showdown.
James Whirley added 21 points and Jon Wallingford chipped in 20 for the Gunners. Dave Berry poured in a game-high 30 for Pike. Lance Poland put up 13 and Tim Pomerleau provided five.
Scott Corriveau chalked up 12 points to steer Lewiston Pawn Shop past L/A Orphans, 47-41. Chris Baillargeon amassed 11 points and Jared Kuvaja claimed nine for Pawn. Tom Couture fueled Orphans with 13. Josh Bourque added nine and Dwayne Miller had six.
Brandon Kyajohnian registered 22 points and Zeth Reilly 18, staking Shooters to a 68-29 rout of P&G Lions. Adam Varney notched nine points in the win. Bill Bray led the Lions with 13. Jon Rybicki turned in six points, while Nick Beers and Gary Blair rounded out the P&G points with five apiece.
Dave Howell fashioned 14 points and Justin Perron 13 in The Crew’s 62-45 dismissal of Discount Dave’s. Mike Belanger complemented Crew’s effort with seven. Dave Madore mustered 19 and Matt McBride 15 for Discount. Frank Perry pitched in five.
