BATH – The Andy Valley boys’ gymnastics team won numerous honors at the recent state championship meet.
Level 4 (age 8-9): Parker Springer, fourth all-around, first vault, third pommel horse, fourth floor exercise, fourth parallel bars; Hunter Emery, fifth all-around, second floor exercise, second pommel horse, fifth high bar.
Level 5 (age 7-9): Team, second; Nick McCann, third all-around, first pommel horse, second parallel bars, third vault, third high bar, fourthrings; Connor Jackson, second all-around, first floor exercise, second pommel horse, second vault, fifth high bar; Chandler Burke, sixth all-around, third floor exercise, fourth rings, fourth high bar; Seth Kolreg eighth all-around, fourth pommel horse, fourth parallel bars.
Level 5 (age 10-11): Mathias Deming, first all-around, first floor, first pommel horse, first high bar, second rings, second parallel bars, third vault.
Level 6 (age 10-11): Team, first; Alec Fisher second all-around, second floor, second pommel horse, second rings, first vault, third parallel bars, third high bar; Joey Baumann, third all-around, third rings, second vault, second parallel bars, first pommel horse, first high bar; Devin Harrison, fourth all-around, fourth vault, third floor.
Level 9 (age 12-13): Josh Abrams, first all-around and all individual events.
Level 10 (age 14-15): Team, second; Patrick Rojas, first all-around,first rings, first vault, first parallel bars, first high bar; second floor exercise, second pommel horse; Max Soifer, second all-around, second rings, second vault, second parallel bars, second high bar, first floor, first pommel horse.
The competition was also a qualifier for the New England regional championship April 4-5 in Andover, Mass.
Representing Maine in that meet will be Patrick Rojas, Max Soifer, Josh Abrams, Alec Fisher, Joey Baumann, Nick McCann, Connor Jackson, Chandler Burke, Mathias Deming.
