RUMFORD – On Wednesday, April 8, Two Old Friends – Mac McHale and Emery Hutchins – will perform at 6:30 p.m at the public library.

The duo sings of Ireland, the mountains and the sea, and plays guitar, mandolin, concertina, bodran and the octave mandolin. The two also perform old-time traditional country music.

McHale and Hutchins founded the band Northeast Winds, which traveled and recorded for 18 years. For the last 17 years, MacHale headed up Mac McHale and the Old Time Radio Gang. Hutchins has been an important part of Angel Band, a world-famous Irish music group.
