AUBURN – Pat’s Pizza opened the Auburn Suburban Little League baseball minor division season with two wins.

Pat’s topped 99 Restuarant, 9-8, by scoring seven runs in the final two innings. Alex Breton had three hits for Pat’s Pizza, including a home run. Noah Verrill added three singles. Emmy Lashua and Ben Cassidy were defensive standouts for Pat’s. Tyler Libby and Nick Martinez provided the power for 99.

A trio of 7-year-old rookies led Pat’s offensive explosion in a victory over M & P Auto Parts. Ben Cassidy scored five runs and belted out five hits. Storm Jipson and Cam Additon each delivered three hits, with Additon knocking in four runs.

James Pooler played great defense behind the plate, while Noah “The Vacuum” Verrill stood out in the field. Donnie Peterson led M&P with a 4-for-4 performance, including a monster double. Elijah McBride also had a two-bagger among his three hits. Josh Fournier was solid in the field.

In a well-played defensive matchup, Dillingham & Sons and 99 battled to a 4-4 draw in other minor division action.

Ian Brushwein led Dillingham with three hits, including two doubles and two runs scored.

Gavin Toussaint also had three hits. Robbie Kurtz, Mason Brushwein and Isaac Sterling all had two hits for Dillingham. Sterling played excellent defense.

Tyler Libby led 99 with three hits, headlined by a double and run scored. Christian Belliveau, Hunter Langlois and Jason Taylor all had three hits for 99.

ASLL Major baseball

Pepsi earned its third victory of the season with an exciting 4-3 win over Austin’s. Ian Mileikis, Noah Yarnevich and Zach Abisalih combined to allow only two hits while striking out 12 for Pepsi.

Michael Hammond and Matt and Justin Keaney pitched well for Austin’s, tallying 10 strikeouts.

C.J. Jipson and Mileikis were repeat hitters for Pepsi.

In Pepsi’s two previous wins, the offense exploded for 28 hits.

Drew Lashua cranked four doubles. Ian Mileikis collected five hits, including a home run, and Jarod Norcross-Plourde banged out 4 singles.

Pepsi got strong pitching from Bo Norcross and solid defense from Donovan Covert and Jon Tuttle.

ASLL Major softball

Pepsi evened its record at 2-2 with a recent 14-10 win over Gee & Bee.

Winning pitcher Brooke Bray chalked up 13 strikeouts and scored three runs.

Sarah Hammond sparked the offense with a pair of hits.

Karli Stubbs contributed a two-run double for Gee & Bee, while Makayla Norcross scored three runs.
