Katie Lauze of Lewiston graduated May 9 from the University of Maine in Orono, magna cum laude, with a BA degree in public management and a minor in communication. She received dean’s list honors distinction and was a George Mitchell Scholar.

Her undergraduate activities included University Singers, the choral group Euphony, Student Senate and the Sophomore Eagles Honor Society.

Lauze was also a member of the all-female a capella vocal group Renaissance, who debuted a new CD “Take My Hand” in the spring.

Lauze, employed by the Lewiston Public Schools and residing in Lewiston, is the daughter of Peter and Elissa Lauze.
