DIXFIELD — The Dixfield Outdoor Market Day will offer many activities on Sunday, Aug. 16. Road races will start from the gazebo, with registration beginning at 7:30 a.m.
The local food pantry will collect nonperishable food beside the Corner Store. The Dixfield Common Baptist Church and the Carthage Union Church hope to “Fill Up the Pick-Up” with donations.
The Dixfield Congregational Church will sell 100 percent lobster meat rolls on Main Street across from the town office for $6 each.
Joining the other vendor booths with their large selection of products, the Ludden Memorial Library will have a book sale. Fun foods will be offered all day long, including onion rings, burgers and fries, lobster rolls, barbecued chicken and hot dogs. A food sale and saddlery exhibit will be held and there will be a concert in the gazebo by Sammie Angel from 2 to 4 p.m.
The American Legion will sponsor a nickle bingo game from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and the Legion Auxiliary will provide a luncheon from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information, call Paul Jones at 562-7172.
