RUMFORD — An American Legion Family Day will be held Saturday, Oct. 3, at the Legion Post. All Legion, Auxiliary, Junior Auxiliary, Sons of American Legion, Legion Riders and their families, as well as eligible members wishing to join, are welcome.
Activities will start at noon and run until 4 p.m. Children’s and adult activities will include face painting, Dance Dance Revolution, Guitar Hero, collage table, horseshoes, ladder golf, pool tournament, darts and 50/50 raffle.
The Rumford Police Department will be there with the children’s identification program iris scan. The Rumford Fire Department will also be present.
Lunch will be served at noon at no cost for members, eligible members and their families.
The One Step Ahead Band will play at a dance from 7 to 11 p.m., open to the public age 21 and older. Cost for the dance is $2 for members and $5 for nonmembers.
