Returning letter winners: Girls: Seniors – Lindsay Strout, Brittany Turner, Emily Thomas; Junior – Sorrel Dunn; Sophomore – Adena St. John. Boys: Seniors – Riley Eusden, Justin St. John.
Key losses: Girls: Samantha Hill, Bobbi Surette. Boys: David Rugg.
Promising newcomers: Girls: Senior – Katrina Heikkinen. Boys: Senior – Tucker Johnson; Sophomores – Jeremy Read, Jesse Newcomb, Dan Costanzi, Forrest Todd, Eli Gabrielsen.
Outlook: Both teams haves solid senior leadership. Eusden and St. John and the boys get a boost from the return of Johnson, who sat out his junior campaign. Eusden was a top-10 finisher in both races at the Class A state meet last year. Strout and Adena St. John should help fill the void left by the graduation of Hill, the girls’ top skier.
Coach’s comment: “We’re always competitive. Last year the girls cross country and alpine combined were second in the state.”
