ELLSWORTH — New guidelines for the Maine Community Foundation’s Community-Building Grant Program will go into effect in 2010. In addition to modifying its application, the foundation has raised the maximum grant award from $7,500 to $10,000 and will be instituting new capacity-building grant opportunities.
Organizations planning to apply to the Community-Building Grant Program for the Jan. 15 deadline should visit the “for nonprofits” section at the foundation’s Web site, www.mainecf.org, to review the new guidelines. The site includes answers to frequently asked questions, applications and other materials. The new application form will be used by all grant programs starting in 2010.
The Maine Community Foundation will host informational Webinars about the new program guidelines and new application form from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 15 and from 11 a.m. to noon Thursday, Jan. 7. To register, visit www.mainecf.org.
