Rodolphe ‘Rudy’ Laverdiere

LEWISTON — Funeral services were held Thursday for Rodolphe “Rudy” Laverdiere in the lower church of the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, after prayers at the Albert & Burpee Funeral Home. Officiating was Monsignor Marc Caron, who also recited prayers of committal at St. Peter’s Cemetery. At the cemetery, an honor guard from the U.S. Army played “taps,” and folded and presented an American flag to the family. After the service, family and friends gathered at Marco’s Restaurant in order to continue celebrating Rudy’s life with food and fellowship.
