LISBON — Voters overwhelmingly approved a 10-year, $350,000 bond Tuesday to pay for renovations to Lisbon High School. The vote was 754-120.
Renovations include a new roof on the gymnasium, new windows and accessibility improvements to the school entrance. Superintendent Richard Green said work is expected to begin this summer.
The town council, budget advisory board and the School Committee all recommended that voters approve the bond. Town Clerk Twila Lycette said a total of 374 votes were cast in Ward 1, Lisbon and Lisbon Center, and 500 in Ward 2, Lisbon Falls.
A total of 874 out of 6,800 registered voters cast ballots.
