The May 3 New Gloucester town meeting was an eye-opener for me. It was interesting, informative and exciting (as well as long). It certainly was a treat to see so many citizens participating, and who were so well-informed.

It would have been even better if those conducting the meeting were equally well-informed. It seems that there should be more department heads present to answer questions and explain the needs of their departments and defend their expenditures.

The town of New Gloucester is a great, growing and beautiful town and merits clarity in all its operations.
