CARTHAGE— A 19-year-old woman was killed in an early morning car accident on Route 142 Tuesday, according to a Franklin County Sheriff’s Department press release.
Angela Bordeau died when her 2003 Saab collided with a utility pole. The accident, which was reported at about 12:27 a.m. also involved downed wires, the release stated.
Bordeau, of Mexico, was prounounced dead at the scene.
“Speed and motor vehicle defects appear to have been factors in the accident,” the release stated.
Franklin County officers, Cpl. Kenneth Charles and Deputy Heidi Wilcox are reconstructing the accident. The lead investigating officer Cpl. Nathan Bean was assisted at the scene by Cpl. Stephen Charles and multiple firefighters from Weld, Carthage andRumford.
