BRUNSWICK — The following local Bowdoin College students have been awarded the Merck/American Association for the Advancement of Science Grant at Bowdoin College. The award funds student research in the sciences.

Local recipients are:

Andrew Michael Cardamone, class of 2011, of Standish.

Abishag Suresh, class of 2012, of Naples.
