High-energy and whimsy
On Friday, July 30, award-winning, indie folk singer Rebecca Loebe of Atlanta, Ga., will perform at She Doesn’t Like Guthries in Lewiston. Since quitting her job as a full-time recording studio engineer in 2006, she has performed 100-plus shows a year at venues across the United States and in Europe. She is known for her high-energy performances, emotional songwriting, folk storytelling and whimsical comedy. In May of 2009, she was a winner at the Kerrville Grassy Hill New Folk Songwriting Competition. She has shared the stage with Glen Phillips, Angie Aparo, Ellis Paul, Sophie B.
