Aromaa honored

: Retiring Rumford Public Library director Karl Aromaa, seated right, was honored Friday afternoon by dozens of friends, patrons, fellow librarians and community members. His wife, Rita, seated left, retired from her teaching position in June. Standing behind them are Town Manager Carlo Puiia, left, and Rumford Selectman Brad Adley. The two locally made Adirondack chairs were gifts from the library trustees, Friends of the Library, library staff and other friends.
