Youngsters perform during the youth portion of the Bates Dance Festival finale on Saturday at the Bates Alumni Gym. The finale is culmination of the 6 week of dance instruction that draws dancers from 40 states and 5 countries. Festival director Laura Faure said the 28th annual festival has been the most successful to date having 190 dancers and 60 arts teachers and musicians. The festival is composed of a 3 week youth program and a 3 week professional session.
